Overview
Decisiv supports Deferred Operations, which are repairs postponed during previous service visits and should be reconsidered when the asset is returned. Reviewing deferred repairs at case creation helps reduce customer downtime by addressing recommended work while the asset is already in for maintenance and supports additional service and parts opportunities.
Karmak Fusion offers similar functionality by allowing service and parts teams to defer tasks or parts. With this integration, Decisiv can surface any Karmak-deferred tasks when a case is created for the asset.
Recommended Operations
How deferred tasks appear
When a case is created—or when you view the Deferred Operations tab on the asset—Decisiv checks for any deferred tasks from Karmak related to that asset.
If deferred tasks are found:
They appear in the Deferred Operations section of the Recommended Operations popup.
Each item is clearly labeled as Deferred via Karmak, making it easy to identify its origin.
If available, associated parts, quantities, and labor time are included to support informed decision-making.
Adding deferred tasks to a case
Select Add to include a deferred task in the current case.
Once added, the operation becomes part of the active service work.
What happens after the case is closed
After the case is closed:
Any deferred tasks that were added to the case are no longer shown as deferred for that asset.
These items are removed from the Deferred Operations list so they are not presented again on future visits.
Availability
This feature is available for providers using the Karmak Fusion integration.
