Purpose of document
This document is a User Reference Guide for this feature.
This document only outlines the feature from the perspective of the Decisiv Case. Users need to
refer to the Karmak Fusion documentation for interaction from Karmak Fusion.
Introduction
This feature enables the functionality for a Karmak Fusion user to add, update, or delete part(s)
and/or operation(s) from Karmak Fusion systems and push the information into the Decisiv
case.
Prerequisite
1. The Service Provider must have Karmak Fusion version 3.62.0.2 and above installed.
2. The Dealer must have all locations within the Dealer Group setup with ALL the Additional
Charges Categories configured in Decisiv according to the Miscellaneous Charges
categories in Fusion.
Setup
-
Decisiv Setup
-
a. Service Providers must have the Decisiv Authentication setup with the Service

Add part(s) to an existing operation: added parts from Karmak Fusion will appear in
the selected operation in Decisiv´s Case. -
Update Part(s) Names and Prices: The updated parts from Karmak Fusion will be updated
in Decisiv´s Case. -

Case. - Add operation(s): Any new operation added to Karmak Fusion will be added to Decisiv´s Case.
-
Update Operation(s): Operation information will be updated in the Decisiv Case. These
updates may include Labor and Additional Charges from Karmak Fusion. - Remove operation(s): Operations removed from Karmak Fusion will be set to “Not Sold” in Decisiv’s Case.
Important: Recommended Workflow
For this feature to work properly the user must consider the following:
- Once an operation has been exported to Fusion through "Export to RO" (Repair Order), it can be managed in either Fusion or Decisiv. If updates, such as changes to the operation name or labor total, are made in Decisiv, the user must click Export Case to Repair Order to apply those changes in Fusion. To ensure accuracy and simplify updates, it is recommended that users make changes in only one system at a time.
- A user can create new operations to an exported case and export again; only new
operations will be added to Fusion. - The Service Provider Parts department will have to work in Fusion and send an update
to Decisiv´s Case in order to keep the information consistent across platforms.
Reminder Notes:
- Depending on Location configuration, users must be aware that the configured Shop
Supplies, Hazardous Waste & Misc. Charges are not duplicated in the case. Service
Providers may choose to set all the settings on Decisiv to be set to “None” to avoid any
miscalculations. - Taxes are not sent through this integration from Karmak Fusion to Decisiv.
- Karmak Fusion sends miscellaneous charges to Decisiv. These charges are added as
additional charges to the case (as per existing integrations). - If the location is part of a Dealer Group, all locations must have the Additional Charges
configurations set to be exactly as what is in Fusion’s Miscellaneous Charges. Any
mismatches will cause the integration to fail and will cause discrepancies between
Fusion´s Repair Order and Decisiv´s Estimate.
Add part(s) to an existing operation
STEPS
-
The Dealer must already have a case created on Decisiv with at least one
operation added. - The dealer must Export to RO to create the RO on Karmak Fusion, and the RO number
will be returned to the Decisiv Platform. (Note: This is an existing integration.) - After RO creation, the user can use the correct RO number on Karmak Fusion to add a part
or multiple parts to the RO. - After saving the parts on Karmak Fusion, the data will be pushed to update the case with
the added part(s).
Update Part(s) Names and Prices

Remove Part(s) of an operation
STEPS
- The Dealer must already have a case created on Decisiv with at least one
operation added. - The dealer must Export to RO to create the RO on Karmak Fusion, and the RO number

remove a part or multiple parts on the RO. - After saving the parts on Karmak Fusion´s RO, the data will be pushed to update the case with the removed part(s).
Note:
- Removed parts still appear on Decisiv´s Operation, but the quantity for the removed part
is 0 (zero).
Add operation(s)
STEPS
-
The Dealer must already have a case created on Decisiv with at least one
operation added.

7. After the RO is created, the user can use the correct RO number on Karmak Fusion to
add one or multiple operations to the RO.
8. After saving the operations on Karmak Fusion´s RO, the data will be pushed to update

categories must match the configuration in Fusion. - Any mismatches will cause the integration to fail and will cause discrepancies between
Fusion´s Repair Order and Decisiv´s Estimate.

Remove operation(s)
STEPS
-
The Dealer must already have a case created on Decisiv with at least one
operation added. - The dealer must Export to RO to create the RO on Karmak Fusion, and the RO number

the Decisiv´s Case, setting the operations to ¨Not Sold.¨
Notes:
- Removed operations on Fusion, when updated to Decisiv´s Case, are not removed from
the case; operations are set to “not sold” to keep the estimate's traceability. - Miscellaneous charges from Karmak will be added to the additional charges within the
Decisiv´s Case operation. In order for this to work, the additional charges code must
match the configuration in Fusion.
