This article explains how to enable, upgrade, and use the CDK Integration in Decisiv, including Asset Sync, new UJ050B features, and asset panel behavior.

Prerequisites
Before enabling or upgrading CDK in Decisiv:
- The dealer must already be integrated with CDK.
- CDK Predefined Integration Points (PIPs) must be subscribed to via the CDK eStore.
- CDK application version UJ040 must be tested (if upgrading).
- The dealer must confirm and opt in to upgrade to UJ050B.
- Dealer Confirmation Checklist must be completed.
Enable CDK Asset Validation & Sync
Asset Validation is turned off by default until you complete both of the following:
CDK Requirements
- Subscribe to the CDK Predefined Integration Points (PIPs).
- Sign up for the Decisiv integration in the CDK eStore.

The request must be submitted by a manager authorized to act on behalf of the dealership.
Steps to Enable Asset Sync
- Dealer submits a request via the CDK eStore.
- A Zendesk ticket is created and assigned to Decisiv Support.
- Decisiv provides a PIP Activation ID.
- Dealer enters the Activation ID in Portal Settings and enables Asset Synchronization.
This process must be repeated for each location that wants to enable Asset Sync.
Upgrade from CDK UJ040 to UJ050B
Only Service Managers, Parts Managers, or General Managers can perform this upgrade.
- Go to Admin > Customize Your Database > Location Information > External Interfaces.
- Set DMS Name to CDK.
- Update:
- Interface Login: TruckAccess
- Interface Password: YY2AIyZ*mVrs
- From the dropdowns, select and configure these endpoints:
- UJ050 - Part Pricing Interface URL
- UJ050 - Part Search Interface URL
- UJ050 - Repair Order Export Interface URL
- UJ050 - Customer Sync URL
- Set Customer Sync Behavior to: Only Sync when DMS ID is not provided
- UJ050 - Customer Search URL
- UJ050 - Customer Credit Status URL
- Click Save External Interfaces.
- Go to Manage Endpoints and delete any existing UJ040 endpoints.
Use CDK UJ050B Features
The following features are included with the UJ050B upgrade:
DMS Tax & Misc. Fee Calculation
Calculate taxes, shop fees, and hazmat charges based on labor and SOLD parts:
- Open a case.
- In Case-Level Actions, click Calculate Charges.
- Refresh to see the updates.
NOTE: Only SOLD parts are included in the tax/fee calculation.
Customer Credit Status
View real-time credit details from CDK:
- Located in the Customer Info section of the case.
- Displays Credit Limit and Available Credit.
- Refreshes when the page reloads.
Customer Add
Add a customer directly into CDK:
- Use the Search page to check for duplicates.
- If none are found, click New Customer at the bottom.
- Leave the Customer Number blank.
- Click Create.
A success banner will confirm creation—the customer syncs to CDK on the next cycle.
Parts Pre-Assigned / Sold to RO
When parts are added in CDK PRO and saved, they automatically sync to the case in Decisiv.
NOTE: Always export the case after entering parts to avoid duplication.
Parts Search
Search for parts from within a Decisiv case:
- Open a case and select an operation.
- Enter a part number and click Submit Parts.
- If no results are found, click Go to Search and use partial numbers or descriptions.
- Select the parts and click Submit Parts to add them.
Fixed Labor Pricing
When exporting a Fixed Price operation to CDK, the value sent to CDK depends on whether the Fixed Labor Total Price option is enabled on the operation.

| Not enabled (unchecked) | Sale override is set to N. No sale amount is sent. |
To ensure CDK receives the correct labor pricing on a Fixed Price operation:
- Open the case and navigate to the operation.
- In the Price Info section, check Fixed Labor Total Price.
- Export the case to RO.
NOTE: If Fixed Labor Total Price is not checked, CDK will not receive a sale amount for the operation. This may affect how labor pricing is applied in your shop management system.
Switch/Replace Customer on RO
Change the billing customer without changing the asset’s owner:
- Open RO with the asset owner.
- Replace with the correct Bill To customer.
Update Hours Sold
- Adjust labor hours in the case.
- Save and export the case to update the RO in CDK.
Update Description of Operations
- Edit the operation description.
- Click Export Case to RO to update CDK.
Update Labor Type (Price Code)
- Update the Labor Type on the case.
- A dropdown will offer matching CDK values.
- Upon saving, CDK will validate and return a success or error message.
Asset Panel Updates & CDK Asset Status
What Changed
- Legacy CDK asset information is now displayed within the main Asset panel.
- If CDK Asset Sync Service is enabled, the CDK Asset Status field appears at the bottom of the Asset panel.
CDK Asset Status Messages

Retry buttons appear when applicable.
Temporary Behavior for Non-VIN Assets
CDK Asset Sync does not currently support serial-based assets, including:
- Refrigeration units
- APUs
- Any other asset types that don’t use a VIN
Temporary Solution
If the Asset Type is Refrigeration, APU, or any non-VIN-based type:
- Asset Sync is disabled automatically
- The Asset Sync option is not visible on the estimate page.
This prevents sync errors while support is being developed.
