Overview
When certain details on a case change, your system now checks whether labor and parts prices may need to be updated.
If so, a repricing banner appears at the top of the case, along with a message explaining that you should refresh to get the latest pricing from your DMS (Dealer Management System).
Clicking Refresh sends a request to your DMS. When the updated prices are returned, they automatically replace the old ones in the case.
NOTE: This feature only applies to locations using CDK, DSI, Karmak, or Procede DMS integrations.
It is not available for all DMS systems.
When You’ll See the Repricing Banner
The repricing message appears any time one of these changes is made on a case:
- Department (if your location uses Departments)
- Customer Bill To
- Customer Number
- Asset (such as switching between pending and active assets)
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
These changes can affect how your DMS calculates labor and parts rates, which is why the refresh is needed.
How to Refresh Pricing
- When you see the Repricing Required banner, click Refresh.
- The system will contact your DMS to get the latest labor and parts pricing.
- When the new prices load, they’ll appear automatically in your case.
- You can continue working as usual once the refresh completes.
If the Refresh Fails
If something goes wrong and pricing doesn’t update:
- You’ll see a check mark or warning icon in the pop-up window.
- A check mark means pricing was updated successfully.
- A warning icon means the call to your DMS failed.
- You can click the icon again to retry the refresh.
If the issue persists, contact your system administrator or the DMS support team for assistance.
Why This Matters
This feature helps make sure your pricing stays accurate whenever important customer or vehicle information changes.
Refreshing your case keeps labor and parts rates up to date, so estimates and invoices reflect the correct amounts from your DMS.
